HANDMADE KREATION

Kiran Gupta, Co-founder of Handmade Kreation grew up in the section of Indian society, which is often regarded as the ‘custodian of personal values’ with focus on value for money in whatever they do… it’s the Middle Class.

Her husband’s transferable job in major Indian metros combined with her own experience of 15 years in MNCs has given her wide exposure of various cultures. She has been associated with NGOs and individuals and done a lot of philanthropic work. Now as a homemaker since 2006, she is fulfilling her passion of a sustainable environment which includes upcycling paper and fabric, making scrubbers from left over wool, making bio-enzymes and compost at home, ensuring minimum plastic usage, etc.

The seeds of Handmade Kreation were sowed one fine day when they visualized the idea of making Shagun envelopes out of wedding cards. Now it has been over 22 years that they are taking this initiative forward through 3R – Rethink, Recreate, Reuse. The process of upcycling brings new lease of life into loved items to give them a new story and personality. Each item, at every step, is conceptualized, designed and created by their own hands. With time, they also created products out of unused folders going waste due to misprinting, discarded shopping bags, used greeting cards, promotional brochures, left over fabrics, etc.  With this, they gradually expanded their product range.
